My name is Mithat Konar. I've been doing electronic engineering and other design work for Audio by Van Alstine in various capacities since the last century. This is a place for me to share information, thoughts, and ideas that relate to AVA.

I hold degrees in electrical engineering, industrial design, and communications. I also have experience as a recording engineer and professional musician, both of which I draw on to inform my design decisions. I spent years teaching in higher education and once worked in public television. I often joke that I don't know what I want to be when I grow up. But the truth is that music and audio have both been central to my life since I was a young teen.

I believe audio is all about sharing the joy of music. I consider it a privilege and an honor to bring the tools we use to access it to a wide audience.
